I went into the hospital on a Wednesday with the intention of staying 2 nights for antibiotics.Come Friday, I wasn't any better, and a few of the doctors were stumped. At that time, I was feeling a bit frustrated.I wanted to go home.I just didn't want to be in the hospital anymore.I missed my family, my granddaughter, and my dog.
Everyone on 2C was EXCEPTIONAL!Dr. T was amazing! She is a phenomenal doctor with an equally amazing bedside manner. All of the nurses, aides, and even housekeeping were awesome! But there was one nurse, Nichole. She does God's work here on earth!Nichole was my nurse on the weekend I spent in the hospital (Yes, I was still there). She knew I was frustrated because I wanted to go home, but she always came into my room with a smile, great words of wisdom, but most of all, she made me laugh!Nichole treated me not as a patient, but like family. She took time to explain things to me.She gives 100%!!She never tried to rush or gloss over things to get to the next room. She made me feel very trusting of her ability and knowledge. She relaxed me, which is hard to do normally, much less under the stress I had in the hospital. And at the end of a 12+ hour long day, she was still all smiles and came in to say she'd see me in the morning.
On Sunday night she came in to say she was leaving me in good hands and felt bad she wouldn't see me before I went home. (I was scheduled to go home that Tuesday). And the girl with the amazing smile and infectious laugh came in on her day off to see me before I went home!!!
You are lucky to have such an awesome nurse on staff. She is a definite asset to your hospital.
Thank you again, Nichole, for being one of God's angels!
