Nick was amazing. Although he was not my husband's direct nurse, he was his roommate's, and the care that he gave to both men was simply wonderful. One thing that stuck out to me was how patient and kind, he was to the 92-year-old roommate of my husband. How, without complaint and with a caring face, he tended to his every need and listened to his every story. Even when the elderly man would complement him or complain to him, he went out of his way to say thank you and or to address the situation. It made me cry to see how excited the elderly man would get when Nick came on duty. It made our hearts melt how encouraging he was each time he stepped in the room and how he went above and beyond to make both men comfortable. Nick made it his duty to constantly check on everyone in the room and address their concerns and needs. Even when the elderly man repeatedly asked him the same questions, he always responded with a clear and comfortable manner and no matter what he was doing, when one of the men needed his help, he was quick to help and quick to address them like they were members of his own family. He was so honest and forthcoming when it came to each patient's concerns. We have been through our share of nurses but none have exemplified the love, care, work ethic and compassion that Nick has.
