Our 4-year-old daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed. Noel was her nurse in recovery and she was phenomenal!
Noel was compassionate and sincere from the time we met her until the time our daughter was discharged. She made each of us feel comfortable and like family. She loved on our daughter like she was her own.
Noel explained everything in detail about our daughter's procedure and gave clear post-operative instructions for when we returned home. She even repeated everything so we were confident in what we needed to do to care for our daughter.
While our daughter was in recovery, I started to feel ill myself. I ended up having a vasovagal episode and passed out. Noel was right there to hand my daughter off to my husband and tend to me. She called for other nurses for assistance. Upon waking up, Noel reassured me that I was ok, my daughter was ok, and I had simply just passed out. She had me lie on a stretcher and provided cool wash cloths, soda, and crackers to help me feel better. A few minutes later, my husband started to feel ill as well. She called for back up again, handed our daughter off to another nurse, and made my husband feel comfortable as well. We were a hot mess that day and I am so thankful that she was there to comfort us and reduce our anxieties that we experienced! We left with a positive impression of the care team that day.
She listened to our questions and explained everything very well. She made sure that we were all feeling ok before leaving. She made sure we had all the necessary contact numbers should we have any questions or concerns.
