Noelle went above and beyond her duties to care for me during my final hours of labor. I wanted a natural childbirth and she worked hard to make that possible. During transition, I had to be on the fetal monitor on and off. The last on/off cycle, I was given 30 min off and 60 min on. I spent my 30 minutes off in the shower, and I really didn't want to get out. I felt like I couldn't get out. Noelle was patient with me, but firm, she helped me realize the importance of getting back on the monitor. I felt like she respected me and my wishes and was happy to do as she asked. During the last hour of monitoring, I could only lay still if I was on my hands and knees over the back of the bed. During my painful contractions when I would move, Noelle held the monitor in place. I was moving too much for the straps to hold it in place, but the movement was necessary for me. She allowed me to continue moving and moved with me to get the readings the doctor needed. She stood precisely where she needed to be. I didn't notice all she was doing, but my husband and mom did. She was in a possibly uncomfortable position for herself, for the sake of making me comfortable. She demonstrated selflessness. The entire time she was with me, she understood. When I asked for the birthing tub, she made sure it arrived. She did an amazing job balancing my requests, working with my husband and being kind to my mother. She made a fantastic impression on all of us. Noelle did the job she needed to do to get the medical information to the doctor and took excellent personal care of me. Of course, once my baby was born, she was perfect with her too. Noelle is an outstanding nurse and caregiver. She was amazing to us. Thank you!
