I cannot put into simple words the recent impact this team has had on our nurse orientees and our staff nurses. This team of nurses has gone above and beyond to ensure the success of our orientees and the support of our veteran nurses. They have stepped up in being the much-needed resource to our nursing units in times of high volume.
These nurses have collaborated with other disciplines within the hospital to guarantee that our new nurses and nurse residents have the exposure and tools they require to be valuable members of Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
These nurses have exemplified each of our CCHESS initiatives and have raised the bar on the Nursing Education within our organization. From providing Compassion Care and being a "hands-on" resource with patient care at the bedside with their orientees, to rearranging their work hours to meet the needs of the staff and nursing units as an example of Superior Service. These nurses are extremely committed to fostering a teaching environment that spans beyond the nursing orientation to the current needs of our entire nursing staff. They collaborate as a team to use their creativity to provide simulation, didactic, and a variety of teaching strategies to engage and reach our diverse nursing staff.
I am so very fortunate to have such an amazing team that shares my passion for having flexibility in Nursing Education to meet the ever-changing demands of our nursing profession!
