I wanted to take some time to comment on how impressed I was with your team and highlight a couple of people who really stood out to me. My daughter was a patient of the NICU and the team working in the NICU was amazing with her care. They all took the time to explain to my wife and me about what was happening with our daughter, what her goals were, and helped us to be as hands-on as we could be.
During our time there I was able to observe many of the staff and work with some of them while they were caring for my daughter and two people were outstanding and have left quite an impression on my wife and I. Starting with Oly, I believe her full name is Olesya, who was our nurse during many of the days. Oly is amazing, she gave outstanding care to our daughter and took time to care for my wife and me. She took time to care for my daughter, which was amazing to me already. Then she took the time to consider my wife and how she was doing physically and emotionally and gave my wife support before I recognized the need. After taking care of my daughter then my wife, Oly took time to acknowledge some of the concerns that I had in my ability to do simple tasks, like swaddling. Oly took the time to care for my entire family, and I am extremely grateful to her for going beyond what was expected of her. While at the hospital I was also able to see Oly working with others and speak with some of the other parents. Everyone fell in love with Oly.
Brittany was also outstanding. She did an outstanding job caring for our daughter and helped my wife with her feedings, and her calm and comforting demeanor helped keep my wife calm and confident. I worked with Brittany less than I worked with Oly, but Brittany made a strong impression on my wife.
