Olivia always has the most welcoming attitude. She is full of joy and positivity at all times. After visiting one of her patients, I learned that he had brain cancer and it had spread throughout his body. The patient was being sent to hospice and his family was arriving to be informed about the diagnosis. You could sense it was bothering Olivia, but she smiled with tears in her eyes and asked if I would go with her to pray with him. I responded that of course, I would. So we went to the room but were unable to speak with the patient at that time. I watched her from where I was sitting and it was as if she could not even gather her thoughts so I whispered a prayer for her. I eventually left the unit not knowing if she had the opportunity to pray with him or not. However, thinking to myself what an incredible person, someone willing to put herself in a situation when others are weak. Olivia performs with excellence every single day. I call her my sweet Olivia. When I am on the unit, I see notes that she placed in certain areas to encourage the staff. I adore her personality and she definitely takes pride in what she does.
