A patient that recently came to the Center for Breast Health described Trisha Wagman as "an angel".

For many years, Trisha has coordinated the Junior Women's Club Organization in making beautiful comfort bags for our breast cancer patients at Carroll Hospital Center. When a women comes in for surgery for breast cancer, Trisha delivers a comfort bag to the peri-op area. The comfort bag is put together by the women's club and includes a lovely handmade blanket, as well as other goodies such as candles, and books. The purpose of the bag is to provide a breast cancer patient comfort to ease the stress of such an upsetting time in their lives. As a navigator, I hear from countless women who are so appreciative of the bag they receive, they never know who to thank.

Most recently, a young woman described her experience. She said she was getting ready for surgery when all of a sudden a lady showed up with this bag. She said no one else was there at the time and Trisha left after a few minutes. Then family and friends came back and asked about where the bag came from. The woman said, "You didn't see anyone? She must have been a angel!"

So here is a gigantic thank you to Trish and all the wonderful ladies who make such a difference in our patients' lives. Thank you seems inadequate. You are an angel.
