Renee was an angel sent to us when our family was faced with an agonizing decision. My father-in-law, J, was facing another health crisis after suffering a stroke. Less than two weeks later, he was septic, in kidney failure, and developing pneumonia. We were faced with the difficult decision of hemodialysis or comfort care, both resulting in the same outcome, neither good. Renee clearly and compassionately presented the facts to us, allowing us to discuss each option and to ask questions. When she discovered we were Christians, she shared her faith with us and helped guide us. When we, as a family, came to the decision of Hospice, she made arrangements for a representative of the Hospice of our choice to meet with us. However, before this could take place, God called J home. Renee was such a support to our family throughout this difficult time; very compassionate, kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. ProMedica is blessed to have such a jewel as Renee on their staff.
