Robin’s Nomination from a co-worker:
Robin is a great team member. She is caring and compassionate with all of her patients. She almost always picks up extra shifts when needed. She always takes time to answer patient’s questions throughly, even when she has a million other things that need to be done. Robin is so compassionate, she even gave a patient a car instead of selling the car she no longer needed. The patient had just been diagnosed with leukemia and his son had wrecked his car. The patient could not work, needed chemotherapy, and had no means of transportation to get him to his treatments at UTMC. When Robin walked into the patient’s room, he and his wife were crying and they did not know what they were going to do. Without any hesitation, once she heard their story, Robin talked them into accepting the car. She made all the arrangements for the couple so the car was available upon discharge.

Robin’s Nomination from the family:

“With being diagnosed with A.L.L., I had plenty on my mind already. Then I got a call one morning saying my son had been in a car wreck. Luckily, he was fine but our other vehicle was a total loss. My wife and I were upset because our son needs to get to work, but we live two hours away from Knoxville. We didn’t know what we were going to do when Robin came into my room. She could tell we were upset. My wife told her the situation. She said she had just bought a new car and we could have her old one. I have never experienced generosity like that before and cannot truly express my gratitude”.
