Rommel has been outstanding in his care. He was attentive and concerned for me during my stay. I thank him for his bedside manners, which for me was one of the most important characteristics of health and hospital care, and most especially for someone like me who is hospitalized during a holiday.
When his shift was over at 8 pm, he came by to wish me a good night prior to him leaving to head home to his family to spend what was remaining of the Thanksgiving holiday and kindly asked me if I needed anything before he left. He informed me that he will be back the next day.
Being it a holiday and having to be at work, rather than spending it with his family, he chose to spend it with those who are not able to be with their families. I am grateful for his professionalism while frequently checking in on me throughout the day. It brought to me a great feeling of much thankfulness and appreciation that I had "my nurse, Rommel" to care for me on this Thanksgiving Day.
