Rosemary is a nurse's nurse. She carries out Harborview's mission every day with patience, positive attitude and perseverance. Rosemary is an excellent educator and devotes time to program development directly related to patient care. She demonstrates phenomenal patience with patients who have great difficulty in learning or adapting to their new medical issues and disabilities. Rosemary approaches the most dire situations with a positive attitude. She always looks at the glass as half full. Rosemary's perseverance serves her well in serving HMC's patient population.
Rosemary never gives up on some of our long term patients with chronic medical, behavioral and mental health issues. When they continue to directly or indirectly sabotage their care Rosemary works with them to make their situation better. By calling them to remind them of their appointments or to review the technique of checking their skin or to re-educate on how to manage their bladder or bowel issues Rosemary continuously shows them that HMC cares.
Rosemary has worked tirelessly in developing our myocutaneous flap protocol for patients with chronic decubitus ulcers. Rosemary is an excellent educator. She has a great way of explaining complex medical issues with very simple language.
