What qualities do you want when you are going through one of the most difficult times of your life? -Compassion, Attitude, Respect, Emotional Connection
These are all things that encompass Sandra.
Compassion not only for the patient and their (pain) illness but compassion for the struggles of the family members.
An attitude that the little things matter and make a huge difference.
Respect what little dignity the patient has left in their current state and display professionalism along with that all-important side of patient care. This is, by all means, someone's family member/loved one.
Emotional Connection by letting the family know you are there for them and the patient. That they will always treat the patient as if it were their own family member.
Our family cannot put into enough words to describe the outstanding care our mother received from Sandra. After 30+ years you would think all the emotions would be drained from a nurse in ICU, but this is not the case here.
Sandra fulfills all the qualities of a seasoned nurse. Explaining what is happening at all times. Working to aid the patient and family and sharing her knowledge and skill level to the next generation of young nurses.
I (we) know my (our) mother will leave this world with no stone unturned to ensure her comfort and care as they were provided at an exceptional level.
Sandra is an angel on earth and we truly appreciate she was part of our mother's life when she was needed most. Thank you, Sandra!
