I have been long impressed with Sandy’s calm demeanor and ability to change stressful situations into positive learning experiences. Her hands may not touch individual patients in the hospital or clinic, but her hands reach a multitude of patients by ensuring nurses and ancillary staff provides safe, competent care. She has given up her lunch hours to spend time with us to review EKG strips, emergency drugs, advance life support practices and answer questions as it has been more than 35 years of nursing for several of us. Two years ago, we suddenly had to do ACLS and this year be recertified in something we don’t utilize in our day-to- day practice.
We feel that Sandy’s positive interventions do make a difference for many patients as well as enhancing the staff’s morale so please acknowledge her for a job well done many times over. She is a Daisy bouquet to us.
