... our son, B, was playing basketball in Loyal with his Jr. High basketball team. He suddenly was experiencing blurred vision and an intense headache. Shortly after, B slumped to the gym floor, unresponsive and not breathing. Several individuals quickly ran into action. Among the first to recognize the seriousness of the situation was Sara, a nurse and mother of one of the opposing team's players and a spectator who had not planned to attend the game, but something convinced her to. Along with her husband, Sara began CPR knowing that without B's heart pumping, he was not getting the necessary oxygen and nutrients to the rest of his body and it would only be a matter of minutes before irreversible damage or even death occurred. They kept things moving in his body so he could come back normally once he was defibrillated and his heart began to beat normally again.

Together each of these people, there for a different reason, saved our son's life. After nearly dying, B is doing miraculously well. It took just the right people in just the right place at the right time to make a full recovery possible. We believe that God is the one who put everybody where they were supposed to be that day.

Thank you Sara for deciding to come to the basketball game that day and responding so quickly to save our son's life.
