The nurses and help at the cancer center are wonderful. I so appreciate my family here, who has taken care of me for these 8 + years.
My attention here today is to give my Shawna girl my attention. Shawna talks to me on a level that I feel totally at home with and she makes me feel relaxed and of course explains things up front as she goes through the process of the administration of my drugs, etc.
We hit it off right away and she makes me smile and laugh and treats me like a friend of hers. Still, I feel like Shawna is my friend.
Shawna is personable and sweet and I love to see her when she is my nurse for the day! I love to visit with Shawna, although I try not to interfere with her work when I chat with her when she is with me. She is very special, in every way. We are blessed to have her here on the job. She really is making a difference. Also, I want you to know what a professional Shawna is, but really down to earth in all she says and in taking action with her duties. That really does make me comfortable being here taking treatment.
Shawna makes me feel like I'm the most important person in her day, but I also notice she is equally sweet and kind and helpful to others in the area also. She's a real treasure in this place and a true DAISY Nurse.
