We would like to nominate Siham for the DAISY award for several reasons. She is one of the most hard-working pediatric nurses we have had the pleasure of working with in my entire career. The compassion and care she shows for her patients is evident in every aspect of her care and interaction not only with her patients but also with their families. Pediatric Oncology can be an emotionally trying area and Siham always has a smile on her face. She often functions in the role of Clinical Resource nurse giving her the opportunity to help other staff when needed or when the condition of one of our patients deteriorates. Clinically, she is an excellent nurse and is always willing to lend a hand where needed. Siham is a tremendous asset to our unit, our division and our organization. New staff and junior nurses have expressed their gratitude for her guidance.

She is highly knowledgeable, skillful and co-operative with the team. She is a good listener to the staff and to the family and she will try to solve their problems as much as she can. She is a role model for me and I hope for others
