--Sonya is the most caring nurse and person I have had the pleasure to be around. In my wife’s 8 day stay in hospital, my wife loved being around Sonya. When they would move my wife, Sonya would visit her in her new room. Sonya is not only a great nurse, but has a heart as good as gold. My wife was in a lot of pain. Sonya felt that pain and tried to do everything in her power to fix it. Good luck Sonya in everything you do. We love you. God bless you!
--Sonya was willing to do whatever it took to make my mother comfortable. My mother was in extreme pain and when the meds were not enough, she did not hesitate to make phone calls until the problem was taken care of! She went above and beyond and never one time acted as through my mom was an inconvenience. She was sympathetic and very caring. It shows that she enjoys her job and cares about her patients.
--Thank you for your care of my mom while in the hospital. You went above and beyond your job when your shift ended but you were still in the room taking care of my mother while she was in pain. You made her stay in the hospital better than it would have been without your care! Thank you.
--She was very sweet to my mom. Tried to reassure her when she got upset. Tended to all her needs. Talked to her like a person. She was outstanding caregiver. She is a wonderful nurse.
--I came to IU Health West very sick and very scared. Sonya was very gentle and very understanding of how I was feeling. Her ability to put my mind at ease and insight into how I was feeling, she put forth effort to make me feel better both physically and mentally. She went the extra mile from putting lotion on my feet and back to ease my pain. I wish we had more like her in the world. If I ever get sick again I want to come back here and let her take care of me. If any member of my family gets sick and comes here I hope they have her for their nursing care.
--You seem to go that extra mile to be sure I have what I need or just to sit and talk. You are right there when I need you. You’re always in a good mood, have a great bedside manner. Keep up the good work and never forget how you make your patients feel. You are a great person and I hope you go far. Thank you.
