Stacey was one of the nurses with me in the recovery room following gallbladder surgery. I was having a very bad reaction to the anesthesia and painkilling narcotic drugs that had been administered during surgery and I was struggling to breathe. It was so much easier to just stop breathing and simply die. She did not give up on me, but with her colleague over and over again called me and ordered me to breathe, and I would come back momentarily before lapsing into deadly quietness again. The time it took seemed like an eternity, but she kept calling over and over again until she called me back permanently. I believe she saved my life and I cannot thank her enough.
