I myself work in the CCU and the past two days I had the absolute pleasure of taking care of Mr. M. Today he received orders to be transferred out to 4 East as he was doing much better and no longer required critical care. I hated to see him go as he was such an amazing man with such an amazing wife; however, I was happy I knew he was going to a floor where there are such extraordinary nurses. The 4 East nurses are extraordinary. We transferred him over to 4 East and as soon as we entered the unit, you could automatically feel the love and welcoming open arms these staff members displayed towards Mr. M. To the point I was about in tears and his wife was in tears and so happy to be back on 4 East (this is the unit he was originally on before transferring to CCU). I don't think there are enough words to adequately paint you this picture as we rolled him into 4 East. Right when we rolled in, Gloria and Sherry welcomed him back and said they were so glad to have him back with bright smiling faces. He saw Ms. Rosa and chatted with her for a brief second as we rolled by. Bryan, the charge nurse, greeted him immediately as we rounded the nurse's station. Finally, Jessica, his primary nurse, welcomed him back with a big smile and open arms. Never in my almost 2 years of working as a nurse have I seen a more loving group of nurses, techs, and EVS staff. It was truly amazing and so beautiful to see this man and his wife, who are at a very difficult time in his life, be surrounded by people who are so amazing and filled with the love of God. Mr. M needed the 4 East environment in order to heal. I wish I could express to you even more how amazing it was to see such a sight, but there simply aren't enough words. I just can't say it enough, 4 East staff is extraordinary and a gift from God.

The entire team of nurses, Melinda, Jodi, and Jessica were kind, professional, and worked with my mother to be able to get her released from the hospital. They were so helpful, monitored her closely, and made sure her digestive issue and low red blood count were better before her release. She was in good hands and we are both very appreciative of all their hard work and care.

I can't pick out just one nurse. My wife had cancer surgery, her doctor answered our questions and concerns. Nurses and staff were so kind, polite, caring, understanding, and helpful. They were always asking how they could help us. When a spouse is in a situation wondering and worrying if their loved one is going to make it, and the nurse pops by and gives a big smile, That makes everything OK. When you are in a deep valley covered by dark clouds, a smile really brightens your day and lifts you up and gives you that ray of hope that you so desperately need in a difficult time. They are so caring, and they really sacrifice for others. They had a lot of patience with us. May God bless Memorial Hospital, the doctors, nurses, and staff.
