Steven works with us in BMC- S ICU as our ARNP on our 7 pm-7 am shift. Steven is a great person with which to work; he gets along with the nurses and with other hospital team members. He works with confidence and skill while showing great compassion for his patients and their family members. My team members feel safe and at ease, if they know that Steven is working. He always checks with each of the nurses to see if they need anything and takes the time to assess each patient, with special attention to anyone with whom we have concerns. Steven doesn't even mind physically helping the staff in the unit, for example, one day we were short of help in the unit, he offered to help by helping a nurse to take a patient to CT scan. He listens attentively to staff and is also open to any suggestions which will benefit the patient. His caring and compassionate demeanor has helped him establish a great rapport with patients, families, and staff. They do not feel intimidated to ask questions, which facilitates learning, understanding, and teamwork. Steven goes above and beyond to provide compassionate care and facilitate teamwork. Thank you, Steven, for all you do for our team members, patients, and families!

Steven is one of our Critical Care NPs who works at night. He always goes above and beyond his role even accompanying me to CT scan with a patient because we did not have an ACP or nurse free that night. He always does rounds on his patients at night time and checks with each nurse to see if they need anything for that patient. He takes a vested interest in each patient and will dedicate time to any patient that is critically in need.
