Susanne has always demonstrated the mission vision and values of Castle Medical Center. She is service oriented, friendly and kind. She prioritizes patient's needs first and she will stop whatever she is doing to help assist and accommodate whoever needs her.
She demonstrates admirable leadership skills. Many employees have sought her advice, and many have shared their appreciation of her pleasant, encouraging attitude. She displays a genuine concern for others and her "can do" attitude is a definite asset to our unit.
Susanne as charge RN is an extension of management. She is able to effectively manage resources to maximize operations and provide optimal care of all patients. She is skillful in managing difficult situations with patients, family, and co-workers. Susanne promotes harmony and teamwork and is a motivating leader who achieves maximum success.
Susanne is the Preceptor for new graduate RNs and nursing students throughout the year. She has a finesse about her and can educate, supervise and mold inexperienced students and RNs into knowledgeable and confident nurses.
She is always seeking opportunities to improve patient care and outcomes. Seeks out new protocols for treating patients pre and post-op within the medical community by attending seminars, conferences and meetings in Hawaii and the Mainland. Never does a day go by that Susanne does not have a great idea or presents published information to the group regarding current treatments. She is constantly updating staff and draws on the physicians for their input and expertise to make our services excellent. Susanne is able to keep projects on track while making sure everyone in her unit is valued and included. She practices to the top of her scope and performs all tasks above and beyond expectations. Her drive to succeed, proven abilities, and impressive achievements is an asset to our unit and Castle Medical Center.
Not a day goes by that we do not think our unit is better, we are better and our patients are better cared for because Susanne is at the helm.
