All too often we hear about what is not "going well" when leading an organization. I am taking the time to write to you for the opposite reason. It is important to know what is going well, and in this instance, the individual employee who makes this so. Her name is Tabiatha Esperon.
As the nurse who helped my mother pass from this life with sensitivity and dignity, Tabiatha managed the 6 siblings and family with respect, patience, and efficiency. Her manner was flexible, responsive and professional. Although she met my spit-fire mother in her final days, she regarded her and her care as if she saw her in the best part of her life - a teacher who impacted hundreds of students, community members and human beings with a listening ear and sincere concern to "see them" in their uniqueness.
How ironic that Tabiatha offered this back to our mother as she passed from this world. Besides the reasons I have already provided to you to acknowledge this exemplary employee is the fact that I am an Organizational Development Consultant, Trainer, and Coach, and I work with organizations such as yours to bring employees to the level of performance that Tabiatha demonstrates. In other words, I am adding in an additional level of awareness that validates her and what can be achieved with your employees. My hope is that all your nursing staff can be inspired by the skill, dedication and professional sensitivity that Tabiatha offered our family, and countless other families that find their way to the 4th floor.
