A letter from a patients daughter:

I am writing to commend one of the nurses at Twin Cities. She was on duty the evening my father passed away.

The death of a loved one is traumatic and that cannot be avoided. What Tara did for my 87 year old mother and me, was ease the process. She talked to my father, though he had been unresponsive since mid-morning, and explained the care she was giving. Tara treated him at all times gently and with respect.

Tara also explained to us everything that was happening and would be happening with my father in a caring manner. It was information we wanted and needed to know. After my father died, Tara hugged my mom and cried with her, for which I will be ever grateful. It is the only decent memory my mother has of that horrible day.

All of the Twin Cities staff members I encountered on that day acted with kindness and professionalism, and Tara especially, exemplified the care any patient or family member wants.
