I have been a patient at WPH since Sunday and was admitted to E8. I had Nurse Tori for two days. I had a rough experience with some conflicting information. I began to get upset and confused as to what my care was to be and what I was receiving from the doctors. Tori came into my room, grabbed a chair and sat down at my bedside and said to me, "I want to hear from you what has you so upset." I told her with many tears in my eyes. She was so compassionate and deeply concerned about me. She called my surgeon directly so he could explain everything to me because I was getting different versions from everyone else and I was so confused. She was able to give me peace which I hadn't felt since my admission. She never left me feeling the despair that I was having. She fixed it right away. There are so many words to describe Tori and I am not sure which one would serve her properly. I guess "loving" would be best. I cannot thank her enough for the peace and calmness she gave to me and my family. Her action helped a lot of people in coping with my illness and a thank you just doesn't seem like enough. Thanks again, Tori!
