As an ICU nurse, it has been incredibly hard for me to see my grandmother in an intensive care unit. It is very difficult to remain calm when I can see and understand her vital signs, the machines that are in her room, etc. However, Troy was an extraordinary nurse and made this difficult time easier for me. He recognized how hard it was for me and signed up to be my grandmother's primary nurse upon my request. He was very patient with my family and explained everything to them the best way he could even though they are not fluent in English. He even asked me to teach him how to greet someone in Vietnamese. Troy showed compassion and provided excellent family-centered care. It definitely gave me a lot of comfort knowing that a great nurse like Troy was taking care of my grandmother. Thank you so much, Troy.
