I suffer from PVCs, premature ventricular contractions, and was sent to an electrophysiologist. The doctor looked over all of my reports, sent me for some other tests, and said I need to have a cardio-ablation, but before that was performed, I needed a cardiac catheterization. This was so overwhelming to me as I lost my mother, father, and 2 sisters to heart disease. I suffer from anxiety, so this was very difficult for me. When I arrived at the U of Penn for the catheterization on and reported to the cath lab the first person that I met was an angel called Truc Vo, RN. She knew immediately that I was so afraid and she did everything to take care of me and calm me down. She talked to me with so much feeling and care, she told me that she would be with me every step of the way through the procedure and when I came back for the cardio-ablation at a later date, she was there for me again. The U of Penn is very lucky to have her on their staff. I have been to many hospitals and I never felt as safe as I did knowing that Truc Vo was there. Truc is such a smart, wonderful, and loving professional nurse. I just can't say enough about her. I hope the U of Penn will let her know how grateful I was and to thank her for me.
