I met Valerie last night after the shift change. She is kind, compassionate, and very thorough. I left the hospital feeling my mom was in good hands. At 3:14 am, I got a call from Valerie letting me know my dad and I should come to the hospital because mom had a nosebleed and she noticed asymmetry in her abdomen. When she was getting ready for a CT scan, Valerie noticed rectal bleeding. On our way to the hospital, she called with an update and informed us my mom was transferred to ICU. Although a dire situation, Valerie was very compassionate. We spoke with the PA that had been consulted, and he said that Valerie's diligence likely saved our mother's life.
