My father was hospitalized from August 13th to September 13th. During his stay we, his family, were so impressed by Miss Pan Xiaoxiao's professional and compassionate care she provided throughout the whole month of his hospitalization.
My mom used to say about Pan, "She is an angel, always putting a big smile on her face and spreading sunshine to others." Pan was very skilled at what she did. I was so impressed by how caring she was when changing the tracheotomy tube, the dressing for pressure ulcers and the dressing for the gastrostomy as if these were the most important things to her. Her nursing skills showed great professionalism as she is such an excellent nurse and her smiling face and soft and caring words always gave us more confidence. We were so proud of what she did. Also, she was always ready to answer every question we might ask. She was so patient that it seemed there was nothing that we could do to make her furious. She never complained and always showed us her wonderful smiling face. She truly gave us "sincerity, confidence and the tender love". We felt really safe and thankful to have her as my father's nurse, someone we could totally rely on. She would quickly figure out my father's needs and provide the best care she could.
When she was off work, Pan used water-proof materials to make my father some pads for the tracheotomy, which we are still using now. It must have taken her a long time to prepare these for us. She told us that she worried that we may not know how to do it and might panic. We were moved at that time as she understated what she did for us. Miss Pan still cares for us now. She prepared my father lots nutrient solutions, bottle caps and little plugs that we might use when we are at home. She was so considerate. She taught us how to take good care of my father's tracheotomy with great patience. We are from the countryside and therefore, it is even harder for us to understand medical stuff. We did not see any condescension on her face as we expected; instead, we saw great patience, understanding and love. She was ready for any kind of questions we asked and she even encouraged us to raise questions. Here, we want to thank Miss Pan for all she does for her patients. You are truly the angel!
