On Thursday an operation to insert a pacemaker was performed on my wife. Everything was going smoothly until the next day. That Friday afternoon we lost our power, we considered it no a big deal, because we had a kerosene heater, a propane powered stove, along with six gallons of water. With my 4-wheel drive truck and my can-do attitude, I was not fazed.
Monday, I took her to the cardiologist to have the bandages removed, I then bought some more water and kerosene. Jersey Central Power and light assured me that by Tuesday evening we would have our power back. They then moved it up to Wednesday evening, and that's when the storm hit. Thursday, after shoveling snow, I went out to buy more kerosene, and every store was out of it. I came home and started a wood fire in my fireplace. I was well aware of my wife's condition. She suffers from A-Fib plus congestive heart failure, along with a myriad of other health problems. That's when my wife saw Zyrha tramping through the snow to see how she was doing. She immediately took charge and encouraged us to go to a motel. She made the necessary phone calls and got us a reservation. Then she helped my wife pack her medicines and a few personal items. She took the burden off us and made all the arrangements. She is one of a kind, thank you.
