Felix was my nurse in the PACU, and he was amazing! I was struggling with being scared and anxious all day. I came out of surgery and started to wake up but was struggling with managing my pain. At one point, I woke up in such pain I didn’t know what to do. I was so scared and still half awake. I could hear Felix talking to the doctor and reached for his hand because I was so uncomfortable and scared. I received more medication and went back to sleep holding Felix’s hand. When I woke up the next time, Felix was still holding my hand. He pulled his computer and stool closer to me and was charting with the other hand. Felix helped manage my physical pain and made sure to take the time to take care of me as a person. I wouldn’t have known if he had stopped holding my hand, and I would have understood he had a job to do, but he chose to take his time to make me feel comfortable and safe. I would have Felix as my nurse again and again. Thank you for taking care of all of me, Felix.
