Heather is a role model for faculty and for her students. Over the past 2+ years (pandemic years) she was deployed dozens of time across the country (and internationally) to support health for people of all ages and backgrounds. Through all the tragedies and suffering she witnessed she maintained a positive and caring attitude. Heather has shared her experiences as a nurse and public health leader with faculty and students. Her service-informed perspective has inspired all of us to be better nurses, educators, and people. In addition to her public health service, she has also excelled in her teaching. Over the past year and a half, she collaborated with a team of SON faculty, administrators, and staff to develop and deliver our first shared statewide UG course (NRS411). Her diligence, team spirit, and focus on the end goal were instrumental in the success and ongoing improvements. Heather is a great RNBS and SON team member! Her positive "can do" attitude is infectious!
