I would like to formally recognize the entire St. Joseph’s Hospital North’s ICU and PCU along with the other department team members who have taken care of a difficult patient. This group of team members genuinely showed around-the-clock compassion, respect, and dedication in caring for the patient. They celebrated the patient’s birthday and every major holiday with decorations, and gifts. Since the patient’s closest family member is hours away, these team members became the patient’s family and have shown how much he was loved. They became his biggest voice when advocating for the best medical and safest care for him. These team members have done more than enough to deserve this prestigious award.
