My husband was recently diagnosed with cancer. This was a shock to our entire family and it made me realize how life is so precious but yet can be taken at any moment. We have been planning to get married but hadn’t set a date until this happened. Due to his hospitalization and recent diagnosis, we made a decision to get married last minute while he was still in the hospital. As soon as I mentioned it to my nurse, she immediately asked me if I had a dress ready and asked if there was anything I needed to make it the most special day. The nurses from this unit went out of their way to get flowers and flower petals as they created the cutest runway made from white sheets. They sprinkled the flower petals in the hallway as they played our special song while my father walked me down the aisle. They all stood there supporting us during this special memorable day. Our family was so thankful for the love and support we all had during his hospital stay and at our ceremony. I just want to thank them and tell them how truly special they are.
