Over the last year and a half since I was hired onto 4S, our teamwork and culture has grown exponentially. Every day is a great teamwork day, it has become our norm, regardless of who is working. I specifically want to mention our team on the weekend of 5/18 & 5/19. A weekend full of RRTs and a code blue all ended in a favorable outcome for our patients. Why? Because of 4S having each other’s backs. The team involved in the code communicated and acted swiftly and effectively with each other and RRT to help save the patient and get them to the ICU. Shout out to Cassia, Natalie, Andrew, Danielle, and Liz. On 5/19, a day with three NAs on the floor (Jeff, Megan, and Danielle) while having two rooms with sitters. RN’s and NAs worked together during every moment of the 12-hour shift. Four separate RRTs and three patients requiring travel for STAT tests led to a crazy day, but it was handled masterfully through teamwork, trust, and being able to rely on each other. I am proud to be a part of this team.
