I would be remiss if I didn't send my gratitude to your hospital after my dad's passing. He was a patient this summer for two long hospital stays and several ER visits. I'm a firm believer in the quote, "It takes a village" and my first impression started with the valet parking. You must really meet Franco (morning valet) who puts a smile on everyone's faces with his congenial, upbeat greeting and wears a daily whimsical hat for every holiday that approaches. The second impression is the warmth one is extended at the visitor's desk by Ilene and Laura. They are very personable while writing up the passes.
Now....I must tell you about Dad's stay in September 2022. There are no words to express my gratitude to the 4 SOUTH Team. It was actually a few sentences from Nurse Bridger who told me...that their floor runs as a team...all pitch in for every patient even if it was not the assigned patient that they had that day. I never saw a floor run with that much compassion and a hands-on warmth that rivals no other - TRUE DEDICATION! Kathy, the secretary took a personal interest in all the families. What a beautiful quality to possess. My dad's nurse, Nicole Accardo was a stand-out! She checked on him constantly and always with a happy, upbeat manner...that added joy to his last days. I have never witnessed a personality more suited for nursing.
On FOUR SOUTH other standouts were the supervisors, Donnah and Celi (as well as Kyle) followed by Andrew, Bridget, Gio, Emma, Janelyz, and Jessica. The techs are awesome and compassionate: Mark, Conner, Shawn, and Tyler. (Tyler played classical music in dad's room) I also want to mention Katie (nurse) who floated from 3 South was also great.
In closing, I hope you share this news with 4 South and commend them for what Bridget stated that they work as a team! The love and comfort they showed my brother and I will never be forgotten.
