I was admitted to the emergency room after experiencing a heart attack. After waiting 6 hours for a room to be free, l was finally admitted. I was scared and disoriented but once I arrived at my room, Kim, the night nurse on duty calmed me down and put me at ease by explaining what procedures to expect the next morning… seeing my state of mind, she answered all my questions with tremendous empathy.
The next day my day nurse Mike was just as caring and attentive. After my procedure, cardio endoscopy, Lillian was my post-procedure nurse, and she too was knowledgeable and caring. I had other nurses but these three were exceptional.
When I was being discharged everything was a bit hectic and confusing, lot of information being transferred. The two nurses at the new discharge lounge were equally caring and helpful and helped me pass the time while waiting for my ride home. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope you acknowledge these wonderful nurses…they make Kaiser what it is!
