I am writing to nominate several exceptional nurses who provided outstanding care during my father's recent hospital stay at Kaiser. Their dedication, compassion, and advocacy made a significant difference in both my father's care and our experience as a family.

Jorge Gonzalez: Jorge consistently demonstrated an extraordinary level of compassion and attentiveness in his bedside manner. His promptness in providing the supplies necessary for my father's care, including diapering supplies, ensured that we were always well-equipped and that my father was comfortable. He was consistently attentive to both our needs and my father's condition, anticipating what we required before we even had to ask. Jorge's warm and caring approach made a stressful time more manageable, and we truly appreciated the level of personal attention he provided.

Carlos Toscana: Carlos showed remarkable perseverance in ensuring that my father received the services he needed. He repeatedly followed up with food services, even when faced with ongoing challenges, and went above and beyond to coordinate care with specialists like physical therapy. Carlos was tireless in his efforts to ensure that every aspect of my father's care was covered. His determination and persistence were truly commendable, and he consistently advocated on our behalf, helping us navigate the complexities of the hospital system with ease.

Ukachi Nathan and Brian Brilliantes: Ukachi and Brian went above and beyond when we had been struggling to get the attention of doctors and specialists for days. Their intervention was a turning point in my father's care. They acted swiftly and effectively, ensuring that the necessary doctors and specialists visited my father's room. Additionally, both Ukachi and Brian took the initiative to resolve ongoing issues with food services, which had been an ongoing battle throughout our stay. Their professionalism, dedication, and ability to cut through red tape were remarkable, and they truly made a difference when we needed it most.

Each of these nurses provided not only exceptional medical care but also the compassion, understanding, and determination that turned an otherwise stressful and difficult situation into one where we felt supported, heard, and cared for. Their actions embody the very essence of nursing excellence, and I wholeheartedly believe they are deserving of the DAISY Award.

Thank you for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
