All the staff on the 6th floor were so kind and compassionate. They were friendly and made me feel like I was cared for by family. I cannot possibly express my gratitude for all the staff who met all my needs. This past surgery experience was enhanced by loving, caring people who showed exceptional emotional, physical care to me. This staff on 6th floor was everything I prayed for and I pray God blessed them today and forever. My post-recovery staff was awesome because of the awesome staff. I had a great recovery. God’s blessings to all on the 6th floor.

These nurses are superior in care. The healthcare workers of America are being reported as overworked. What’s not being reported is the care and compassion of these same healthcare workers to the American public like myself, my wife, and countless others. I duly recognize and congratulate the efforts and motivations during our stay by this staff. Hats off!!

We go home today and our morning nurse has been with us for a couple of our several days stay. Kristan Vanover on the 6th floor has been so kind and caring. Her concern for my sister has been astounding, and I simply cannot thank her enough. Not only for while we are here but also our journey home (2/12 hours). Thank you so very much, and thank you to the whole 6th floor. Your professionalism is beyond compare.

Helpful, polite, knowledgeable, patient, and kind are words used to describe the nurse one would hope to have after a substantial back surgery. It was surreal to meet and work with a nurse who embodied all those qualities. Maleah’s ability to stay calm under pressure and anticipate my mother’s pain and emotions was awe-inspiring! Maleah is important to the field of nursing and this facility. Maleah’s character exceeded all my expectations. Thank God for nurses like Maleah! Thank you for your compassion!

Maleah K was wonderful. She was kind and compassionate. She made sure my pain was controlled and then made sure my pain meds were effective. She went out of her way to make sure all my needs were being met. She was encouraging and supportive. She explained everything she was going to do in detail. The most important thing was that I felt loved and cared for. My post-recovery was enhanced by my loving nurse, Maleah.

Lakeita was my nurse after I had a hip replacement. I had some blood pressure drops and was very pale immediately after the surgery. She was very in tune to what and how my body was reacting after surgery. She was very calm and reassuring to my wife and me, all while providing wonderful care. She was very friendly, and welcoming, all while being the compassionate professional RN. It didn’t matter what my question or need was, she was very accommodating – and told us more than once we were why she was here. She made us comfortable during a stressful time. She is the kind of nurse everyone should have and is a great representative for Grandview.

I think we are going home tomorrow. My sister has a neck to waist brace, she had C2-T2 fusion. Even though I worked in Healthcare for 38 years this brace and her surgery were foreign to me. So as it so often has happened on the 6th floor for us, we’ve had another angel of mercy step into help. Kimberly Herrera (PCA) came in and with the greatest of care helped show me how to shower my sister and work this brace. I can’t tell you how much this was appreciated and the anxiety that it relieved in me.
There have been so many angels on this floor that I just can’t say thank you enough. I hope that there is a way to reward them. Their professionalism and care have been beyond compare. Thankful and grateful.

I worked in and retired from Healthcare for 38 years in Atlanta. Please believe me when I tell you I know the difference between someone doing their job and someone going above and beyond. First off, the whole 6th floor that has worked with my sister has been beyond exceptional and deserving of huge praise. However, Crystin McGraw and Brittany Hughes in nursing have both gone to extraordinary measures to care for my sister after a very difficult surgery. Their care and compassion, as well as professionalism, have been beyond compare. I would also like to commend Rayven Miller from dietary (the lady who delivers meals). Her kindness and caring and going above and beyond what I’m sure were her duties touched me more than you will ever know. All have made a difficult time easier to deal with.
