This family would like to thank Grady's Stroke Unit staff for all they did to care for our loved one, P. The staff went above and beyond their call of duty. The support, and professionalism, care, and hospitality they provided at the most difficult time for our family were deeply felt. We would like to recognize and thank David Garner for this professionalism, warmth, and honesty. Thank you for explaining matters to us in great detail so as a family we could make the best decisions for P.
We would like to recognize and thank Kanika Stanford for her loving presence and for treating us like family.
We would like to thank and recognize Erin James as a friend of our family and an 8B nurse. Erin willfully went to the hospital to check on P as soon as she found out the news. As a family, we requested Erin to care for P and we are grateful that she was there for P in her final moments. P was surrounded by a familiar presence and love.
As a family, we pray these nurses are able to continue providing excellent care, professionalism, and support for other families the same way they provided ours.
