The 8th floor was nominated by a patient for the care she received during her stay. She specifically recognized two nurses, Shelby Youngblood and April Mytora:

I wanted to commend Shelby for the excellent job she has done as my nurse. She is so kind and concerned about my well-being, and that is so appreciated. She took care of all my needs and requests and even anticipated needs and took care of them as well. I am so grateful to have been under her care. She is so knowledgeable as well. I would trust her with any of my family members if they were here. I wanted you to know what a special and valuable employee you have in her.

I was so blessed to have April Mtyora as my nurse. She encouraged me in many ways to make me want to get well and she lifted my spirits on many occasions. She took great care of me making sure I had what I needed and I am thankful that she was a pleasant part of my stay. I will remember her (as well as the other fine nurses who helped me get closer to being able to get to Lakeshore to continue improving) for many years to come.
