From the mundane to the intense, the employees of the ED are a cohesive team.
I have had the pleasure of working beside some of CVMC’s best in the ED for over three years, since I transferred to the Resource Pool. I have always been in awe of their dedication to helping people whether it be a tick bite, cardiac arrest, or a motor vehicle accident. From the mundane to the intense, the employees of the ED are a cohesive team.

I had the opportunity to be on the receiving end of care from CVMC ED after an incident that took place. Every person knew their role in taking care of me. From Kelsey seeing what occurred and coming to my aid, to security who were there in seconds, it seemed to me. To Chris G taking over my post. To Dr. Motley and Aminah H who asked if I was okay and every other person who came to the incident to aid in the Code Green and repeatedly asked me if I was okay. Then when I started feeling lightheaded and the pain in my wrists was getting a little more than I could handle, Gen, the ANC, responded that I should get checked out if I was not feeling well. To Sharon, who quickly and efficiently registered me into the computer. To Marie, charge nurse, made sure that I got to a room safely along with a few other nurses. To Toni, who was assigned to me and made sure that I was comfortable all while asking all important questions. Dr. Motley came in to explain why my body may have reacted in the manner that it did in a clear and concise manner. To Bob, in radiology, who made me laugh until I cried, of course, that might have been the pain.

The ED staff is like a fine-tuned machine. Everyone knows their responsibilities and that every piece of the puzzle is crucial in the final picture. I am proud to work at CVMC and call my fellow coworkers family.
