Aaron has often exemplified the qualities of a DAISY Nurse. Aaron has a kind and respectful demeanor when handling even the most complex patients. He considers the distinct backgrounds of their personal lives and how that will affect them in the hospital and in their recovery. Aaron has always offered his advice and expertise in my and others' times of need; he works through complex cases logistically and in a collaborative manner. Aaron emphasizes the importance of continuous education. He is truly an Extraordinary Nurse.

I was aware of Aaron's care and empathy soon after I met him starting his shift. I was already making demands to go for a walk as physical therapy, and rather than dumping an excuse, he didn’t hesitate to get all the equipment together for a stroll. He knew of my physical capabilities. He knew when to slow down or come to a stop, I felt totally supported and felt cared for. Through my opportunities, I’ve been fortunate to have him assigned to my care. He consistently monitors my readings and alarms, not letting them take over with their loud beeps and blares, ensuring I have a comfortable rest. He’s also the one nurse who has taken the time to help me understand what the doctors are up to, explaining and keeping me engaged in the healing process. He just has a way of making me feel cared for.

He was very attentive to my needs. He described procedures and the reasons for them. He tries to administer procedures efficiently and with as little pain as possible. He reached out to colleagues as needed.
