Aaron was the nurse who stood out in my mind. His demeanor, his excellent communication with us, and his ability to multi-task should not go unnoticed.
My mother was admitted to GFH from the emergency room. The doctor informed my mother and me that her ethanol level was dangerously high and that she was an alcoholic. This was tough news to hear. It was a very emotional time. My mother was admitted to Tower 3. Aaron was the RN on duty that day and the next. Aaron was always calm and attentive. His response time when we hit the call button was within a minute or two. On the second day, my mother began to experience severe withdrawal symptoms (which we expected). Obviously, due to COVID-19, we could not be there during the day (visiting hours 4p-8p). You can imagine the anxiety we had with not being able to visit her early in the day. Aaron PROACTIVELY called us two times to provide updates on my mother's situation. As I reflect on my mother's time at the hospital, Aaron was the nurse who stood out in my mind. His demeanor, his excellent communication with us, and his ability to multi-task should not go unnoticed. In my eyes, he went above and beyond. Aaron deserves special recognition. Thank you, Aaron, for helping my mother get through some very difficult times. The care she received at GFH was great! Thank you, Aaron. You have made a huge difference.
