Aarti brings an aura to the room with her happy demeanor and immediately engages you.
I have been in and out of Loyola Gottlieb I have had five surgeries in the same place. Cancer is in my femur and putting in different support hardware since the cancer is weakening it. I will use the petals criteria to describe my experience with Aarti. She certainly fills all those and then some.
Pride. She knows her job and then some. She always went over everything with me always made sure I had everything I needed. The most important part is that w hen she was on, I had total Peace of Mind that no matter what happened, I would be OK.
Empathy. Everything. She came in, we would talk. I came in with many issues. She discussed my personal situation. She would listen to my problems, let me vent. If there was a way she could help, she would. If not, she would listen and share kind and humorous support that I cannot express how important that was to me. She engaged with me to always put me in the best way possible physically and mentally.
Trust full and absolute trust. That way Aarti conducts herself. I was always happy as can be when she was on. This way she would go over medication. How she would come up with the solutions to my situation, go over my situation and talk about it. Total trust, which I could rest easy mentally and physically
Admirable. I admire her because of how easy she makes it look. By that I mean one minute she is laughing and chatting with me and my visitors like a true friend. Next, we are in an unpleasant physical situation and she and the staff is doing everything they could to alleviate my physical situation. Then she would assure me and quell my embarrassment and turmoil I may be having that everything is OK.
Love. Aarti brings an aura to the room with her happy demeanor and immediately engages you. When she comes in when you're up and if she has to wake you, it actually is so calm. She is like a warm blanket, gets done what she has to do, and makes sure you can go back to sleep right away. Someone who carries herself like that absolutely loves her job and you can't fake that. Love the way she shares her love for her job, and the way she makes you feel so connected.
Selflessness. She lets you know if you need anything. Let her know. Not just the way everyone says that, but everything that happens, her reaction and interaction are so important. Patient care, and taking care of needs are very important. I take a lot of medication with her, she makes a lousy situation and actually makes it almost fun. We laugh though. This pill thing is secondary. That is just a way of explaining how I value the relationship I had with her.
In conclusion, she has made a horrible time and made it the best time possible. Thank you, Aarti!
