Abbie Jaunich, BSN, RN
Our son came into the ER with fever, body aches, headaches, fatigue, weakness, and these and more symptoms got much worse!
When he got a room, Abbie was one of the nurses. She saw him at his very worst and was extremely attentive and concerned about him. He had terrible tremors and horrible confusion and was an overall wreck.
Abbie saw him at his worst, and at one point she called for a stroke code, which was a smart call. Our family was freaking out about how bad he was. It didn't end up being a stroke, but we were thankful she was cautious.
Every time Abbie was our son's nurse, our family was relieved. She is such a great nurse. She is smart and professional, sweet and compassionate, and you get the feeling she truly cares.
Our son ended up with West Nile Virus as his diagnosis. Thankfully, he has made great improvements but still has some work to do.
When Abbie saw how much better he was doing, though, she was sincerely happy and kept repeating it to him. "I'm so happy for you!" And she said it to us, his family as well. She told us seeing patients improve was her favorite part.
Abbie is special and an extraordinary nurse! We were very grateful to leave the hospital, but she was a gem. She even said, "I hope I dont see you again."
