Abby took it upon herself to call his family and arranged a time and place for this patient to go spend some time with his dog and family outside as a surprise for the patient.
It was a patient’s birthday who was very sad that he had been away from his dog for so long during his hospital stay. Although this was not Abby’s patient, she took it upon herself to call his family and arranged a time and place for this patient to go spend some time with his dog and family outside as a surprise for the patient. She not only arranged this, but she also took it upon herself and took time out of her busy day to take the patient to meet up with his dog and family for his birthday. She truly went above and beyond for this patient and made a huge difference in the patient’s day and whole hospital stay. She is an angel!
