Abby went above and beyond her calling for an elderly couple, both admitted to her unit. The gentleman was recently transferred to ICU. Abby specifically came in on her day off to gather the elderly couple's dirty clothes and took them home to wash, returning their clothes the next day clean and in a bag for each of them.
Nursing can be difficult; there are many draining and stressful days. Seeing this small act of kindness expressed by Abby makes me proud to be a nurse and I love what I do. Abby's compassion towards this couple touched my heart. Thank you, Abby, for all you do!
