Abby..all I can say is, "WOW!"
Abby was given my dad as her patient on one of the worst possible days; the day we were told dad was in Stage 4 terminal cancer. Dad was in an exceptional "hate the world" mode which is rare for him. Bless her heart, Abby took dad's difficult attitude and worked with him in a very kind way. All day she never backed off with her compassion. By the end of her shift, she had dad back in her good grace. The most important, special moment was at the end of her shift. She knelt at his side, held his hand and said with tears in her eyes, "you are in my prayers". Abby will never know how much that kind compassion meant to us. What an exceptional nurse.
Thank you, Abby, you made such a difference for us that day!
