Abby was also so understanding, patient, and compassionate when it came to my emotions with trying to learn how to breastfeed.
From the very start, at 5 am, she was completely invested in our new little family. She made us feel like her only patients on the floor. She was able to respond to anything and everything we needed immediately. While at the hospital, the city of Englewood came out with a warning that one of their wells was contaminated with E.coli, so the hospital wasn’t allowed to use the water. Abby had done such a good job keeping me comfortable while figuring out how to do everything that I and the baby needed considering the water. She made sure that we had enough water bottles every few hours for washing myself and washing the pump parts. She was also so understanding, patient, and compassionate when it came to my emotions with trying to learn how to breastfeed. She was also helpful and offered so much advice and tips on what to do while I was struggling to get him fed and latched properly. Every time I needed something, she was in the room almost immediately to help without concerns even though there were so many patients on the floor. After a rough night of adjustments, she was able to offer so much support; she even helped us load up our car to leave the hospital. She was able to go above and beyond what her job required and I am just so thankful.
